POSITION OVERVIEW:

Bug Bite Thing is currently seeking a Marketing Director to lead, encourage, and empower our Marketing Team. The Marketing Director will bring innovative marketing campaign strategies to positively impact the company’s business objectives and goals. The Marketing Director will also have responsibility for brand messaging, media performance, and exploring new media opportunities locally and nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things digital: Google, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. and how they impact both the brand and consumer behavior.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach, and manage marketing team
  • Responsible for go-to-market strategy, multichannel plans, and media activations including:
  • digital, social, retail, print, radio, and may include TV/Broadcast
  • Define 360-Marketing strategy, campaign messaging, customer journeys, and provide ongoing
  • guidance on media mix and content ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Leverage data, performance measurement analysis, and apply insights to constantly optimize
  • campaigns that achieve business goals
  • Collaborate closely with team members and develop working relationships with Senior
  • Management, key stakeholders, and partners to align on vision, strategy, priorities, and
  • activations
  • Manage and track marketing budget, resource allocation, and campaign(s) performance to ensure
  • alignment with marketing funnel KPIs
  • Accurately forecast, given product seasonality, all content, social, and digital/eCommerce media
  • efforts, maximizing marketing spend
  • Deep knowledge in digital advertising; strong understanding of the entire marketing ecosystem
  • and competitive landscape to develop strategic messaging/positioning
  • Evolve and scale brand content and social footprint while driving awareness, engagement,
  • customer audience growth, and sales
  • Establish and oversee agencies, partnerships, sponsorships, influencers & affiliates
  • Monitor major marketing initiatives and establish processes for testing, execution, and reporting
  • Build, measure, and optimize customer-focused marketing funnel and programs from top to bottom
  • Spearhead the development of the entire multi-channel customer journey touchpoints – email, web, digital, social platforms, etc.
  • Connect with international partners to provide best practices to enable the scale of global campaigns and brand consistency
  • Develop marketing briefs, strategy, and content calendar recommendations


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years in progressive advertising, brand marketing and/or marketing strategy in a fast-paced
  • in-house or agency environment juggling multiple projects for rapid-growth startups,
  • products/eCommerce, beauty/health, or retail/consumer goods brands
  • 10+ years’ experience in consumer marketing and full understanding of planning, 360-marketing;
  • specifically in the Digital Media space i.e., digital display, paid social, email; TV/Broadcast a
  • plus
  • Deep expertise in media mix, social networks, and entire consumer journey
  • Data and solutions driven to inform strategy
  • 5+ years’ experience as team-builder; ability to lead, coach and manage a team
  • Proven experience building cross-functional relationships
  • Strong communicator with influencing and persuasion skills; presentation and workflow
  • management skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: highly organized and detail-oriented with a willingness to try new things
  • Experience working with senior management and C-suite level – both internally and externally –
  • particularly across media and retail partners
  • Ability to build marketing and campaign plans from the ground up, and balance creative concepts
  • and executions vs fact-based metrics
  • Track record handling influencer & affiliate marketing
  • Professional attitude; self-managed, self-motivated, proactive
  • Advanced level English required
  • Advanced Microsoft Office required
