Happy Labor Day from Bug Bite Thing

The three-day weekend is here! We hope you are enjoying some time off and getting a break from any stresses over the last few months.

We discussed the meaning behind Labor Day last week, as well as some fun activities we hope you and your family are taking advantage of in preparation for Monday. From crafting and camping to organizing bike parades and picnics with a purpose, the Bug Bite Thing team has some of our own exciting plans for tomorrow.

While we are all celebrating in different ways, there is one thing that is part of all our outdoor activities (I bet you can guess what it is …):

the Bug Bite Thing.

If you have been following along with my Bug Bite Thing journey as a mom on a mission, you know how important it is to me to protect my family – and all of you fellow mosquito magnets – from the reactions we get from bug bites any time we are outside. My daughters both have tasty blood that attracts mosquitoes as well, so bite and sting relief is always a priority. Since an insect attack is a fast way to ruin a party, holidays are no exception.

Want to know how I personally keep bug bites at bay during barbecues? I always have at least one Bug Bite Thing handy outside while we’re at the grill, in the pool or playing in the backyard. If we’re expecting guests, I find it helpful to have a few extra in a bowl for people to borrow as they need them, without worrying about one being misplaced. The Bug Bite Thing also makes a great host or hostess gift when invited to a friend’s cookout.

How are you celebrating the holiday weekend? We would love for you to share your ideas with us in the comments.

However you decide to celebrate, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your Labor Day weekend. We wish you a happy, healthy, itch-free holiday!
